CHUMP ("the Service," "we," "us") is an SMS-based daily financial clarity service operated by CHUMP Logic LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company. CHUMP connects your bank accounts and delivers organized daily spending summaries via text. CHUMP's number is coming soon. By signing up and completing onboarding, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use CHUMP. By signing up, you confirm you meet these requirements. We reserve the right to terminate accounts if eligibility requirements are not met.
CHUMP costs $9.99 per month, billed automatically via Stripe. Your subscription renews at the start of each billing cycle unless cancelled.
To cancel, text UNSUBSCRIBE at any time. Your access continues through the end of your current billing period. No prorated refunds are issued. To reactivate, text IMBACK and complete payment again.
Founding Members — the first 50 subscribers — pay $9.99/month until CHUMP reaches 1,000 active subscribers, at which point their subscription is automatically cancelled and access continues free of charge. This benefit is non-transferable and applies to the original subscribing phone number only.
If a payment fails, CHUMP will notify you via SMS. Accounts with failed payments may be suspended until payment is resolved.
By subscribing, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated SMS messages from CHUMP to the phone number you provide. Messages may include daily spending summaries, weekly wrap-ups, and service notifications. Message frequency is typically one daily summary plus any replies you initiate.
Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. CHUMP is not responsible for charges incurred from your carrier.
To stop all messages immediately, text STOP at any time. This halts all SMS communications from CHUMP. To resume messages after texting STOP, text IMBACK. For support, text SUPPORT.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing or using the Service. CHUMP is not liable for delays or failures in SMS delivery caused by carriers or network conditions.
CHUMP uses Plaid Technologies, Inc. to connect to your financial accounts. Plaid's access is strictly read-only — CHUMP cannot initiate transfers, move funds, or modify your accounts in any way.
By linking your accounts, you also agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy. CHUMP accesses transaction data solely to generate your personalized daily spending summaries and weekly wrap-ups.
You may unlink your accounts at any time by texting SUPPORT. Unlinking your bank will deactivate transaction-based features but will not cancel your subscription.
During onboarding, you will create a CHUMP tag — a unique username preceded by an exclamation mark (e.g. !MoneyMatt223). Your CHUMP tag is your identity on the leaderboard and your personal referral link. CHUMP tags are permanent and cannot be changed once set. Your real name and financial details are never displayed publicly.
CHUMP uses a streak-based engagement system to encourage daily financial check-ins. Streaks are maintained by responding to your daily spending summary each day — even an emoji reply counts. Streak freeze passes (💸) are earned at milestone tiers (7 days, 30 days, 100 days, 200 days, 300 days, and 365 days). If you miss a day, a freeze pass is automatically applied to save your streak. This system is for engagement and awareness purposes only — it has no monetary value and cannot be redeemed for anything.
The CHUMP leaderboard displays the top 50 users ranked by consecutive check-in streak. By using the Service, you consent to your CHUMP tag appearing on the leaderboard.
CHUMP is an awareness service, not a licensed financial advisor, broker, or fiduciary. CHUMP helps you see your money clearly — what you do with that clarity is up to you. Nothing communicated by CHUMP via SMS or any other channel constitutes professional financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
You agree to use CHUMP only for its intended personal, non-commercial purpose. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, scrape, or interfere with the Service. You may not use CHUMP to facilitate illegal activity. We reserve the right to terminate any account at our discretion, with or without notice.
We collect your phone number, name, and transaction data (via Plaid) to operate the Service. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Transaction data is used solely to generate your personalized daily spending summaries and weekly wrap-ups.
Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. CHUMP never stores your credit card or banking credentials. For more on how Stripe handles your data, see Stripe's Privacy Policy.
CHUMP is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CHUMP's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid in the 30 days prior to the claim. CHUMP is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including financial losses resulting from actions taken based on CHUMP's insights.
You may cancel at any time by texting UNSUBSCRIBE. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, or any other reason at our sole discretion. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any prepaid subscription fees.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll notify you via SMS and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
