CHUMP is an SMS-based daily financial clarity service operated by CHUMP Logic LLC ("we," "us," "our"), a Massachusetts limited liability company. CHUMP connects your bank accounts and delivers organized daily spending summaries via text. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.
Information you provide: Your phone number, CHUMP tag (username), and payment information (processed by Stripe — we never store your card details).
Financial data: Transaction data from your linked bank accounts and credit cards, accessed through Plaid Technologies, Inc. This access is strictly read-only. CHUMP cannot move, transfer, or modify your funds in any way.
Usage data: Message interactions, sign-up date, subscription status, streak data, and engagement metrics within the CHUMP system.
We use your information solely to operate and improve the CHUMP Service. Specifically, we use it to:
Generate personalized daily spending summaries and financial insights via SMS. Process your monthly subscription payment. Track and maintain your engagement streak and leaderboard ranking. Send you weekly spending wrap-ups. Communicate service updates, billing notices, and support responses.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not display your real name, phone number, or financial details publicly. We do not store your bank login credentials or credit card numbers. We do not use your data for advertising or ad targeting.
We use the following trusted third-party services to operate CHUMP:
Plaid connects your bank accounts and provides read-only transaction data. See Plaid's Privacy Policy.
Stripe processes your subscription payments. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
SignalWire delivers SMS messages to and from your phone. Messages are transmitted through their infrastructure but are not stored or used by SignalWire for any purpose beyond delivery.
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from CHUMP, including daily spending summaries, weekly wrap-ups, and service notifications. Message frequency is typically one daily summary plus any replies you initiate. Standard message and data rates may apply.
You can manage your SMS preferences at any time by texting the following keywords:
STOP — Immediately halts all SMS communications from CHUMP. No further messages will be sent. This does not cancel your subscription; to cancel billing, text UNSUBSCRIBE before texting STOP.
UNSUBSCRIBE — Cancels your subscription. You will continue to receive messages and have access through the end of your current billing period.
IMBACK — Reactivates your account and resumes SMS communications. You will need to complete payment again if your subscription was previously cancelled.
SUPPORT — Receives a support message with available commands and assistance information.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing or using the Service.
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest. Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you cancel your subscription and text STOP, we will delete your transaction data within 30 days. Your phone number and basic account information may be retained for up to 90 days for billing and legal compliance purposes, after which it will be permanently deleted.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by texting SUPPORT or emailing support@hichump.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days.
CHUMP is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will promptly delete that information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you via SMS and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
