Is CHUMP a budgeting app?
No. CHUMP doesn't tell you what to spend or set limits. It shows you what you did, so you can decide what to do next. Clarity, not constraints.
Is my bank information safe?
CHUMP uses Plaid to connect you to your accounts. Plaid is read-only, so CHUMP can never move, transfer, or touch your money. Learn more about Plaid's security.
What banks does CHUMP support?
Plaid covers 99% of US banks. If you have a checking account, credit card, savings account, or investment account at a major institution, it's likely supported.
How often will CHUMP text me?
Once a day, every evening at 7 PM your local time, plus a weekly wrap-up every Sunday. That's it. No spam, no random pings throughout the day. Moving or traveling? Text TIME to update your timezone.
What's a streak?
Every day you check in with CHUMP counts toward your streak. Even an emoji reply keeps it alive. Hit milestones at 7, 30, 100, 200, 300, and 365 days to earn 💸 streak passes and tier badges on the leaderboard.
What are 💸 streak passes?
Miss a day? A 💸 streak pass automatically saves your streak. You earn one at each milestone tier — 7 days, 30 days, 100 days, and beyond. They're rare, so use them wisely.
What's the CHUMP leaderboard?
It's the top 50 users ranked by streak. Check in every day to grow your streak and climb. Referrals help too — each referral adds 3 days to your leaderboard score, so even brand-new members can climb fast. Your streak badge (🌱 7 days → 🏆 365) and referral badge (⭐ → 💯) show next to your CHUMP tag. The board goes live at 50 members.
What's my CHUMP tag?
Your CHUMP tag is your unique username that appears on the leaderboard. Each username is preceded by an !, for example !moneymatt223 or !djsasha45. CHUMP tags allow users to stay pseudonymous, but also feel free to use your known social media handle to flex on your friends and the internet.
What's the Founding Member deal?
The first 50 subscribers are Founding Members. Pay $9.99/month now, and when CHUMP hits 1,000 users, your subscription goes free forever. Only 50 spots.
What's the difference between monthly and annual billing?
CHUMP is $9.99/month, cancel anytime. Or lock in $99/year — that's two months free. The annual plan is the better deal if you're serious about saving some money and actively improving your daily money clarity. Both plans start with a 7-day free trial. Referrals pay off, too: for every successful referral, monthly members get a free month and annual members get $5.
Does CHUMP give financial advice?
No. CHUMP is awareness, not advice. CHUMP helps you see your money clearly and what you do with that clarity is up to you.
How do I cancel CHUMP?
Text BYECHUMP at any time. You keep full access through the end of your current billing period — monthly or annual. Text BACK whenever you want to return.
Can I get a refund on the annual plan?
Annual subscriptions are non-refundable. When you purchase the annual plan, you're committing to a full year at a discounted rate. If you cancel, you keep full access through the end of your paid annual period — nothing gets cut off early. Monthly subscribers can cancel anytime and simply won't be charged again after their current period ends.
How do I stop texts immediately?
Text STOP. All messages cease instantly. Note: this doesn't cancel billing — text BYECHUMP first if you want to stop both.
